when are you going? If Tuesday your invited in the canoe.
If you want trout the South shore seems to work better for shore fishing.

Thanks for the invitation, but I will will be going probably saturday
morning,I will be camping at Mueller state park. Will be fishing with
the wife and kid. Thanks for the welcom to the board, this board is the
best,my wife actually turned me on to it. I will mainly try for trout, but
will be happy with anything, especially if the kid catches something* .

Welcome,
I went up there 2 weeks ago for my first time. I caught some nice trout jigging a crawler from my float tube. There are a lot of crawfish in there so bottom fishing with bait did not work to well for me all I caught were crawfish. I would try a bobber from the shore and maybe you'll have some luck. I caught a nice pike with a spinner bait on Howbert point the west side. The trout I caught were at the south east access I can't remeber the name. Caught some very nice rainbows. 16" to 21". Most of the shore line is pretty shallow from what I could tell. You might try wading out a bit. Good luck, stop by the marina and they'll have some info for you as well as the rangers.

Today, Talked to some shore fisher people. They had been catching some Kokanee, Trout using Power Bait.
I caught A small Pike on a Tube jig along the South West shore. I think you would do good along the bluffs.
Fish are in the weeds.
