Default Roger's Grove - Longmont - Legal?

Is it legal to fish there?

I see people fishing at Rogerís Grove all the time. However, I was looking at the regs & city of Longmont parks page to see if there were any special rules for fishing there. There is nothing in the regs or on the dedicated park page. I also checked the signage in the parking lotÖ nothing about fishing.

Anyone able to shed some light on the legality of fishing Rogerís Grove?

The pond at Roger's Grove park is Fairgrounds Lake. You can fish it. It's artificial flies & lures only. All bass must be released. I heard they stocked a bunch of trout in there. They normally put the trout in Izaak Walton for the kids, but it got wrecked by the floods, so they put them in fairgrounds instead. I don't think it had trout before. Basic small bluegill & crappie, carp, channel cat, LMB, probably green sunfish & bullheads also. I wouldn't consider it a quality fishery but you can give it a try.

Thank you very much!

No wonder I had such a hard time trying to look it up... different name will get you every time.

Fairgrounds has or had some real go lab and cats a few years ago. Would imagine both still pretty good.
