Default Fishing for Spawning Kokes

Ok so want to go to 11 mile and actually try to fish for these fish. I am not real big on snagging as I have never done that. I would like some info on how to catch them running with what lures or bait. Any help greatly appreciated.

I troll using big bells (rig using large spinners) I tip them with a worm. Works for me year round.

In Elevenmile Reservoir or ... ? *A lot of kokes have already, and will continue, moving up the S. Platte into the Dream Stream. *Moving water is preferred for spawning by all salmomoids (I think all *). *Kokes don't actively feed during this time, but will grab small things that float past. *Brightly colored and/or shiny flies on a dead drift work well. *
* *
Make sure your drag is working smoothly! * *

Some kokes never make it to the stream, and stay in the reservoir, especially near the inlet. *

At Williams Fork I like using two different lures for kokes. The first would be #5 Mepps spinners in either black and white or silver with reflective silver tape on the spinner. The second would be silver Daredevil in 1/2 to 3/4 oz.

Look for the deep holes on the dream stream... and throw anything red... red wooly buggers, red san juan worms. Make sure you are getting it down as deep as they are... they normally just bite the baits not eat them, more of a protecting their territory. So any little pause set the hook and hold on.
