Default Transducer wire!!!

I smashed my transducer wire with the trolling motor and I was wondering if the wire can be cut and resoldered together, or crimped together? I really don't feel like dropping 80 bones for another one.

Never tried it but I've always read not to try to shorten the wire.

I've done it before and it seemed to work just as well. If nothing else, you
can try it and if it doesn't work, then cough up the $80 for a new one!

take as little out as possible, splice your wires together, heat shrink and use a water proof glue individually, make sure to splice the ground sheild back together ther glue and heat shrink the whole mess, it will not look good but the ones i have repaired have worked well for me,,,bernie
