Bummer. Chatfield was one of my considerations for going out this weekend.

Slayerfish meant to say " Ed you gotta hit a large un-named lake in South Park Screw Chatty!"

I gotta hit something - haven't been out in a while. I've got the craving to catch something with teeth - walleye being the first choice. Pike at the mile would be good as well.

Well that sucks...it can be winter in the hills...I am nursing a sinus infection and a good cold so ice fishing is probably out Saturday at 11 mile...Chatty was my alternative...that really blows...does it have ice on it?...or have they just adopted the Aurora fearful of ice at any moment policy even though it is two weeks away...I saw an article on El Nino that they are predicting warmer and dryer than normal winter for us...with a wet spring...so at least there is hope...and then depression set in...a winter of catching trout through the ice...UGH!...it could be worse...I could be a Bronco fan...

Called the park late this afternoon and was told that there are patches of ice floating on the lake
and part of the marina cove has ice. The boat ramp cove always ices over first, so the marina cove is the last option for launching. Was told that they won't let boats on the lake tomorrow.

come on zman, nothing better for a sinus infection than to get out and do some moving around, breathe some cold crisp mountain air, but to not be able to ice fish you must really be sick, i was that sick once while up ice fishing, i actually lost my appetite if anyone can believe that. that's how i knew i wasn't really feeling well. i just left a couple of hours early. so i sympathize with you, i just might try 11 mile sat??
