Default Carp instead of suckers??

What's up everyone, I was wondering if anyone has every tried carp instead of sucker meat, for lake trout or pike?? To be safe can I even use carp as bait?? Any info would help me and the ks everyone in advance

Never tried it personally but I've heard it works great from several people.

Its works quite well, I actually perfer it for cat fishing but it works well for both pike and lakers. One tip though, scale it first, works much better.

Carp is an oily fish... So yes. I prefer halved shiners though... Easier to handle.
