Default Banner Lakes

I have been by those ponds a million times on my way out to the outer-limits of Weld County and I know the state record Sacramento perch (never seen one and it must have been some experiment back in the 70's) is from there. I think it has goofy access times too depending on the hunting season. But has anyone out there fished any of them?

A couple of us hunted there in 2005 and there was still some water in the ponds. I went out there in Sept. 2006 and there was no water in the first pond, #5. I called DOW and talked to the Game Warden for that area and he stated all ponds were DRY. We nver went back for any hunting in 2006.

Fished the south side the weekend before opening day of dove season. Probably 40 small small bullheads but I imagine a big one or two in there somewhere. Use some sort of blood bait.

The ponds on the South side of 52 had water last September, no water in any of the ponds on the North side.

I greew up fishing those lakes. Back in the day me and my dad used to catch largemouth bass out of the first three ponds north of 52 and then would also catch some northern pike from there. The sacramento perch were in the farthest two lakes to the north. On the south side I still catch nice stringer of bullheads to eat and even catch some carp for bait for catfishing.
