Default July 4th in Aspen- One day to fish?

Meeting friends for a long weekend and will have 1 day on the water. I'm an intermed. fisher mostly fishing near Steamboat and the front range- I've fished the Pan only twice. Will have a novice fly fisher joining me, but who is a good sport and happy to go with the flow.

My preference would always be to float (I don't have my own boat), but happy to wade or bushwack or hike or whatever if there's an outstanding fishing experience around the first of July in the valley that we should not miss! We'll be sticking close to home, so the Colorado is out.

What are the recs for "must hit" fishing during this time? Is it floating the Fork? Wading the Pan? Where? Favorite guides or shops in Basalt/Carbondale/Aspen?

Thanks in advance
