Default choking smoke over lake pueblo

large fire at Beulah, it is several miles from the lake , but moving that way being pushed by 35 to 45 mph winds it is burning on both sides of hwy 78. that is the hwy that runs past the south marina, ash is landing in the town of pueblo, it looks like the wind will still be blowing the smoke towards the lake tomorrow at about 25 mph.

7 buildings have burned 50 mobile homes in in danger now
it is now 2,400 acres and 1 more home has burned, the wind has dropped quite a bit but will start at 10 to 15 in the morning

I thought this was going to be a thread asking Slayer to blow the other direction while fishing! SUX WS, these winds will only make it worse too.

the fire is at 4000, acres now, the wind is from the west and the smoke is going south of the lake so far today, 7 homes destroyed, wind now is 15 to 25 mph, air alert south side of pueblo to Colorado city, 400 firefighters on the lines and 4 aircraft in the air attack

that's right, now 5500 acres, 0% contained all the fire fighters were protecting homes, they have only lost 8 homes and 6 out buildings, the wind is calm now smoke is going straight up till it hits a west breeze. in the morning they will have more crews and start working on containment. it is now a class 2 fire so they can call in a lot more assets

the problem is the fire is advancing in 2 directions at once, one going NW and the other going SE . fhey are calling for a south wind of 5 to 10 mph tomorrow morning.

they have 30 fire trucks plus tank trucks and choppers and fixed wing tanker aircraft now fighting the fire now

Significantly cooler temps this morning should help the cause.
