Default Night fishing this weekend

Didn't make it to pueblo. I did steal 3-4 hours fri and sat from just after dusk on at cherry creek and then chatfield. Water was calm and a 10" walleye was the only thing I caught or saw at any point. I was surprised to see virtually nobody fishing sat at chat and literally nobody fishing Friday at cherry creek.....

did I wait too long into the moon cycle? Do you all see the calm water and just know it is going to be crap and go home? Is there any hope on a calm night or is is generally better to just skip it?

I threw all manner of crank baits, lost a couple tubes and had a night crawler on a slip rig - all for nothing. Had little fish surfacing for quite a while sat, no signs of anything Friday....

figures. out of sheer stubbornness I went out last night too. no bites, few fish surfacing, but not a thing for me. dunno if the denver metro lakes are done for fall or not, but I had absolutely zero luck. I need a tutor or a fairy godmother or something.
