Default Rampart Range Road

Was planning on heading down to Rampart to ride and Fish this weekend and someone said the road was closed. Does anyone know the conditions or have a number to a local rangers office I could call.

Thanks
JT

I tried getting threw it twice this year and was stuck 3 times, lol. There have been some HUGE drifts over the road, if you want to hit the reservoir head up from Woodland Park the road is maintained on that side... if you are feeling adventurous head back on Rampart after your done fishing and see if you can make it... but bring a shovel, mats, come along, whinch everything you have to get unstuck.

I think you mean hand winch. I think you can only get a hand wench at a XXX store.

Rampart Road is open with a few wet spots

I drove it 2 weeks ago in a minivan. It was open all the way, just a bit of packed snow in one place. From woodland park to the lake is ok. From the lake to Colorado Springs is 15 miles of nasty washboard. Be prepared to have your fillings replaced.

I live in Woodland Park and was just up Rampart the other day. It is clear all the way either way but it is very rough. Washboard City!!! Have fun this weekend.
