Default Cottonwood Lake

I know this lake is not known for catching big fish. Mostly stockers.

I'm curious. Has anybody caught a big fish there?

That was what I wanted to know. It seemed like a stocker lake but you would think some of them would live a few years and get bigger. I guess not. It gets way too crowded anyway.

I'm more into moving water but looking for someplace to fish during runoff without driving too far. I guess i'll stay with Wrights Lake. It has come cutthroat and brookies too.

H Lake?

Biggest fish I caught in there was about 9 inches...pretty area though. Water isn't very deep.

Yes, it's a good looking area. About 12" is my max. I go deer and elk hunting above it up at Mineral Basin. About 11,000ft-12,000ft.

For those who haven't been there.

Mineral Basin

You could go to the pond in Greeley for some huge carp.

Runoff is slowing down. I'll be on the Ark soon.

Paving will be done this year going over Cottonwood Pass. Normally, I can drive over to the Taylor during runoff.
