Default New 7 year old at Granby

Hey all - I have fished at Granby quite a bit (usually from dike 3) but I'm taking my 7 year old grandson for the first time. I'll probably set up in Rainbow Bay or over by the campground where they do the inspections as I'm not really comfortable with having him sitting on the rocks at dike 3.

He has never fished and I'm wondering how I should start him out. Power bait off the bottom? (I usually do powerbait on one rod and then throw flies and lures with the other) I know a lot of kids do well with a worm and a bobber but I don't know if that will work up there.

Anybody have any advice on what works well up there for kids that are just starting out??

Powerbait or sucker meat on the bottom.

Thanks Slayer. That's kind of what I was thinking. Don't really need to catch anything too big if I wanted that I'd ask you to take him I was mostly looking for confirmation. I'd really like to get him to catch a fish!
