Default Lake Trout Fishing closest to denver

Moving to Denver from vail next week and wondering what lakes with macs are closest to Denver since Twin and turquoise would be a 2 hour drive from there

For decent laker fishing, you're going to have to drive at least 2 hours no matter where you go from Denver.

One lake that is a little closer is Gross Reservoir

Select fish species "Trout: Lake." Unless you have experience with Gross reservoir, you may want to avoid it. Ice can be sketchy due to water fluctuation. If you lived in Vail, you probably already know the other lake trout lakes "close to" Denver: Green Mountain, Grandby...

That's all I can think of as well that is somewhat close to metro area and i'm surprised they have them in there from how warm it can stay around there all year.

Littlemac, yea Jefferson is only i'd say an hour and a half so not too bad.
