Default Are the cats hitting anywhere?

Ok have 4 days off of work and was hoping that the cats were hitting somewhere between Chatfield and Ft. Collins. Any ideas?

I heard some are biting in Chatfields spillway, maybe even a big one.

its still slow across the front range! if u try for cats in the metro area find small impoundments, that have aerators, they seem to grow bigger fish, and warm the water faster!!! i saw some people in longmount catch four cats all over ten lbs, on sirmp, last week during my lunch hour, at golden ponds! I will help u out on the bait also, if u dont have a proven meat catcher, stick to chicken liver! it works!

It'll pick up soon. Usually around the middle of June is when they start to put on the feed bag. We need a nice long string of hot days and these fronts have not been helping matters.

I fished a tournament at a private lake in town last Saturday morning. I caught the biggest "other" fish (it was a bass tournament) - a 6lb 7oz catfish. I had another that stripped my line and straightened my hook. There aren't any wiper in this lake - it was another big cat.

They are active...it's time!

Should be good conditions this weekend.* Everything seems to be in order in the farmers almanac and the tide times are where I like them to be, yes I said tide times.* I started experimenting with the times of low and high tide a few years back and it may all be coincidence but I have found some proven combinations.* Hit a small pound in broomfield last night with Catfish Belly and caught a 7.9LB and a 4LB.* These were small fish I know but the action was hot and as long as you are on the water this weekend you should get em.

P.S. The cats should be gettin it on at LoneTree any time now... If you hear a drag screamin and you hear some crazy guy yelling "get some!, get some!" it's probably me

Lonetree is one right now! Caught five fish from there last night with the bigest being 12 lbs andthe smallest being 8lbs. Try Lonetree.
