Default Reel Repair

I have a Daiwa ss II and have had it for many years. I love the dam thing. However the drag is no longer as smooth as it used to be. I would like to have it repaired. Where do you recommend I take it for repairs. Thanks

Sounds like you just need new drag washers, they are not hard to change and you should be able to order them anywhere that sells Daiwa reels

Hey Yakatut if you have a problem with your reels then Gary here at SW is the mad scientist to figure it out. He charges something like $15 a reel to go through and service it plus the cost of any parts that he might need to replace. Like stated before he will be going on a medical leave this week but it won't be long till he's back at it again. If you are around the store sometime stop in and hit me up I would like to meet you in person.

Hey Roth. I can swing by wednesday (tomorrow) before he leaves & drop off my reel. You think he can have it done before he goes on medical leave.

Best bet is to give him a call today. He should be at the shop this morning. I know that he is trying to finish all the reels he has before he goes in but he had somewhere around 20 reels to do when I talked with him yesterday. Call him 720-981-2000 ext. 2
