Default Best Fishing in Colorado?

This should be interesting. What's your opinion of the best fishing in Co? Whether it's spin or fly fishing year around. Lets keep it simple and say no boat. Any kind of waters.

Year Round eh? I'd have to say chatty, I gone there countless of times and have yet to get skunked there. I thinks its because there are so many species there and different peak times. Right now is time for bass and walleyes, when it gets too hot for them you can go for cats, and in the fall you can go for some good sized trout.

I know chatty is good but I can't catch a fish there to save my life. lol I have been there twice and came home with nothing. lol It is most likely my lack of fishing skills. I would have to say lake X which hasn't been open for some time.

I would have to say Spinney for trout and Pike. I have never been skunked there. I think the fishing would be best there year round as well if ice fishing was allowed.

yampa river. pike and smallies in the spring, summer, and fall, and trout year-round in various areas. Best pike and smallmouth fishing in the state, good size and numbers. also good size and numbers of trout.

Navajo Reservoir hands down.......eventhough 3/4 of the lake is in New Mexico. It's a huge lake with minimal pressure and lots of species........largemouth, smallmouth, pike, cats, crappie, brown trout, rainbows, kokes, bluegill, carp, sucker, and I'm sure I forgot some species too.

Are you serious? Colorado is one of the best fishing destinations for those without boats! We have miles and miles of gold metal waters for trout not to mention the hundreds if not thousands of lakes in the mountains. And there are plenty of ponds and lakes along the front range and plains were you can catch fish from shore. You can also catch fish from shore at the large lakes as well. Before I got a boat I would catch tons of smallies from the rocks at chatfield. There is great fishing in Colorado without boats.
