My finder doesn't work too well in shallow water but really don't need it out there because the clarity is so good.* In deeper water:

15-20ft:* either 4 ft below sfc or hugging the bottom
20-35ft:* either 10 ft off the bottom or hugging the bottom
35-45ft:* at 15ft below sfc or 10 ft off bottom or schooled hard right on bottom
45-65 ft:* Scattered mostly right on bottom near any type of ledge or hump.*

The fish I have found at 50+ foot have all been troutskis and are averaging 3+lb

Please make note that these readings have all been taken at peak daylight hours.

Yesterday I saw a 24+ inch Walleye in about 8 foot of water while sight fishing SMB.* Very strange indeed as it was about 3pm.

There was a huge Mayfly hatch going off yesterday and I would bet alot of those shallow fish you see are trout looking up?

Wish I did, I'm in the market for a ew one as well. I have an Eagle Cuda that's just too small and the resolution is not too good. I do believe it though, but have to reset everything evertime I turn it on. Gonna spend a few hundy and get one w/ GPS.
