Anyone fished it lately? Any tips?

Have not fished it in a awhile. Have always had fairly good luck up there.
Walk across the plank bridge that crosses the spillway. A little ways past the far end of the dam, there is a small stream that comes into the lake. Have always managed to catch rainbows in that area.

I think it was just stocked. Have caught them off the bottom and also on fly/bubble. For fun you might try the creek right below the dam or further downstream all the way to the main road, fish the creek with baby crawlers and a short line. Try to hit it early as the storms move in by early afternoon. Had a bald eagle land and watch us fish last year. Pretty area.

Sheriffs is basically stocker bo's. If ya hike a couple miles on past sheriffs you will pass sand lake and then crater lake. Chance at nicer fish in those.

Sherriffs has brookies too. Crosho is right there as well. Try a little spinner or spoon at either place. Love that area.
