Default Arvada Res Question

Wondering if you can fish from the dam at Arvada?* Since 9/11 I'm not sure where you can and can't.* If not, does anyone have suggestions on shore fishing spots?

Planning on taking my nephew out there to find some stockers or smallies - probably throwing hardware, but maybe some live stuff too.* Since I can't use the bboat, I have never fished it.* Thought someone might be able to point me in a good direction.

no u cant fish the dam, but if u park on the eastside by the water treatment plant and follow the bike trail up to the res and fish just a little west of the spill way there is better fishing than on the south side, big smallies and giant cats! walk in very slow, the water is very clear and the smallies are very smart!

whoa denverbassman, are you talking north or south side of the lake? i know the southeast side has the shelf and the northeast side has the bowl. i have been dying to catch a catfish out of there but dont know where or how to. doesnt help when the guy who runs the reservoir tells me that they pull good sized cats out of there often

North side. Me and the DBM have gotten into some biguns and I have seen pics and heard stories of some real bruisers out there
