Default bass/crappie?

I'm new to the state (and forum) and was wondering if there are any good places near denver or colorado springs that is good for bass/crappie fishing from the shore? if so, is there any lure that works best out here or do worms work best?

There are more good bass lakes in town than can be counted and some good crappie holes too.* Basically anything with water in it around Denver and C. springs holds good bass fishing IMO.* I dont know where you moved here from but bass are bass and you just have to throw the tackle box at them untill you figure out what they are in the mood for.* If you fish with worms be sure to read the state regs. to ensure that it is allowed at the lake you are fishing and not an artificial/flies lures only lake.*

You can check out Brush Hollow, down by Penrose. Try the dam just below the little shack you see on top. Also, check out Fort Carson.

Spinnerbaits...senkos (where allowed) ehh....jigs...and buzzbaits are going to be a fun way for you to catch them!

Softplastic colors i like are dark earthy ones....green pumpkin...watermelon. and the same goes for my jigs...and match a green trailer to it for added action/rate of fall etc...
