Default Horsetooth Sunday

I never paid much attention to the "tooth" when I lived in Fort Collins. But I need to get into some of this smallmouth action while it is hot. I might bring the canoe do the ramps open at a certain time or is it 24/7 like the state parks. I know there is a dock at the south ramp but I want to launch from the north ramp. Is there a dock at the north ramp?

Also any fishing tips you got will be appreciated.

Oh and if any of you want to save me the hassle of the canoe and need some company on your big boat I'm game.

There is a dock at the north end and it is 24/7. If you are in a canoe, you might look at entering from Lory state park and fishing the wakeless coves on the west side. Might be easier for you and offer you more water to fish. Probably save you a buck or two as well.

Would I still have to pay the larimer park fee? I am lazy so I will probably put the trolling motor on.

You would pay a state park fee there, not LC fee. If you relocated say to fish the south end though, you could end up paying both.
