Default Salted or unsalted tube jigs?

When fishing for lakers through the ice what is better salted or unsalted tube jigs?

It doesnt matter alot but I believe in using salted where legal it keeps the fish from spitting the tube out immediately.

I don't think it makes one bit of difference, especially on the bigger fish. They know it's not food the minute they crunch it and spit it out in half a second. I've fished both salted and unsalted lures for them and either way, "you snooze, you lose." No second chances.

I believe it is a Grandby Bernie law that if you use Margarita flavored jig heads the tubes must be salted...and they cant be used in conjunction with an ice house...you may only use an umbrella as a shelter...

Believe me, if a little (or any amount) of salt made lakers "hang on" for even 1/10th of a second longer, I'd have 10 pounds of it on my boat at all times, be pouring it over the sides of the boat, cober my body with it, and fill all my jigs up with it. Sorry, nice dream, but that ain't it!

Maybe other fish, but not lake trout.
