Default July 1st - 3rd Help!

Howdy All!
Looking for some suggestions as to where to take the fam-damly out camping & fishing on July 1st - the 3rd? I'm looking for
somewhere where we can launch the boat and then find a nice camp spot next to the lake so I don't have to trailer it up just tie it to shore so I can get on & off the
water as I please. Also some where the kids can play in the water if they get tired of getting there lines tangled up. I'm in the Thornton Area and am willing to drive up to three hours or so? WYO is cool to doesn't have to be CO.

Thanks for the help folks.

I suggest you figure it out, and FAST!* I imagine most camp sites that are in State Parks or National Forest are already booked up, at least in Colorado.

Stagecoach res. is cool up by steamboat. RMNP is always fun too.

I would grab the first spot you can get. Steamboat lake is Awesome, and has a little swim beach. Turqoiuse (sp.) lake outside of leadville is cool too, complete with a swim beach. All the spots are going quick and probably will sell out soon if not already.
Good Luck.

John Martin has what you need, nothing formal for camping, but you can launch the boat, and tie it up to shore.....

North Sterling. Very nice campground and plenty of room to play and fish. We'll be back up there soon for a long weekend. Wasn't very busy at all last year for the 4th of July weekend, really suprised me. Caught a few nice bows trolling along the dam on that trip.
