Default Where would you go?

My brother Garrett and I once a year get away for a few days and I wanted some input as to where to go? We'll be taking the boat and will be camping. It will be July 27th 28th 29th. Was thinking about camping at Williams fork and fishing there 1 day, Granby the next and maybe Willow creek or Grand the next.

Any input would be great

I've never fished the southwest part of the state but heard it is top notch so I would go there.

Also, steamboat area is unreal, great fishing, many less people being so far.

With several days, I'd go a lot farther away from Denver than Williams Fork.

I'd agree with Phil on getting a little farther away, but, you could fish your way to Steamboat and back. Where ever you go, sounds like a good trip.

I've been dying to try the gunnison, ucomphra-however-you-spell-it, come to mind first...there are a ton of streams south west, someone from or who has been to that area would give you a lot better info than me.

Taylor is small and the fishing s*cks. Blue mesa is humongous- easy to spend 3 days there. I'd go Big Blue if I were you!

Ahh stupid me should read more first, I see you want to boat fish, sorry I was talking about streams.

For lakes...stagecoach and steamboat res. always sound great.

I've always wanted to go to Navajo, "Colorado's Answer to Lake Powell," as they say on the state parks website. But, I know nothing about it except it is 5 hours from denver.

Jay, there was a post in a thread not too long back that spoke about a nice campground right after the second bridge.
