flyfishgeek - I'll tell ya how to catch a toothy critter on a fly. Most of it is being on the water the right time of year, mainly spring when their up shallow. Use big bunny flies (Black, white, chartreuse), depending on water clarity. I'm not going to tell you my favorite time of spring, but fish for them between Ice Off and the middle of June. In the fall they will hang a little deeper, so i generally throw hardware at them that time of year.

I read that Rifle is 18 feet below full pool, so most of the bays and inlet areas will be out of water, but focus on some of the areas Bobco told you above. Fish the island area and most of the north shore for Perch. Trout will be all over. Pike should be holding on points or just off of breaks into deeper water. Either that or they will be suspended over deeper water. Cover some water. Not sure if you have a boat or will be huckin from shore. Either way, have fun!! Let us know how you do.

Tight Lines!
