Nerfkhat this is for next year, because after the spawn, my crappie luck turns into crappy luck. Pardon my French. But, next year from May 1st until June 1st plan a trip down to John Martin, Adobe Creek (Blue) or Merideth. Big Crappie. Sorry I can't help you right now. Maybe someone else can?

Good Luck!

Nice fish Scotone! Yeah, I've got some nice ones at the Creek also, but right when the lake begins to thaw, right in front of the tower, out of my pontoon. I've also seen hundreds of them at that same time, up on the ice, with seagulls eating them. I'm not sure what's going on with that. And Koldkut good Pics, I don't think I'd seen those yet.

I have heard that about CC. One guy I was fishing with over my the marina, just as the ice was coming off told me to hit up the tower in a belly or a toon for some killer crappie action just as it thawed and turned back into water from ice. Too freaking cold out there for me at that time though amigo!!!!

I caught these over by the swim beach trolling with minnows. Was looking for walleye with my leeches on another pole, but got these. (we were out there at night) My partner I was fishing with caught one of similar size, took them home, and had a nice lunch with his daughter.
