Default Granby Questions.

Ok guys and gals we are going to be hitting granby the end of the month and
I had a few questions.

1. Is the ramp in Arapaho bay use able?
2. Anyone want to share any spots with me?

The deal is my wife is sick. we paid for campsites back in february and would hate to lose the money, so we are going to go on our 1 time a year trip there.

Anyway any info would be appreciated thank you. Oh if the launch is open we will be fishing with downriggers and jigging. again any pointers or spots would be cool thanks again.

I haven't been there at all this summer. Too much time in Utah and Wyoming!

As far as I know a.bay ramp is in the water. I still would suggest sunset or still water though.

As far as fish. Good luck there. We had a hard time finding any sort of pattern. Im far far far from a pro so maybe other have had better luck, The fish we marked were few and far between. Id say fish early and late in the day. If you have downriggers use them as the fish will be in the cooler. deeper water.

If you really want to catch fish hire Bernie. Im sure he could catch fish in Salt Lake

Jay: You should see the tarpon in the Great Salt Lake. Phenominal as of late with the warm temperatures!

I'm in Kansas and haven't fished Granby since May, but if I was a betting man, I would say that the A-bay ramp would be useable. It sounds like you are camping at abay, so launching there would be most convienent.

I haven't been to Granby this summer either - too busy raising kids and working. I would guess the ramps will be all open. In my experience this time of year the lakers will be deeper, 50 feet or more. If you don't see fish, try 90-125 feet on structure. Well thats what I would try anyway - I might be up there on sunday.
