Welcome Frank. Colorado has some real good crappie fishing in the spring at Adobe Creek, John Martin, Nee Noshee, even Brush Hollow or Bonny. Personally, for me in the summer, I'd want to try....Kansas, Texas, Missouri, or Kentucky.

Good Luck Buddy!

Frank

Welcome...I think what Hobiecat is trying to say...not exactly a stellar crappie state...Adobe and John Martin used to be outstanding and then low water years...they are darn hard to find...I got into a bunch at Boyd by Loveland a couple of times...but that was a number of years back...

There was a post a long time ago about someone catching loads of crappie in a pond down by the tech center. Not sure where it was (can't remember the thread).

The biggest crappie I've caught were out of Cherry Creek but the fish are few and far between.

Ditto that. There are some big crappie in Cherry Creek, but they are few and far between.

G'day...Thanks Guys...I now have my bearings...recently moved from Australia. Spring seems to be the time for prime crappie. I'll try other states too!
