Default Carter

Do any of you fine fisherpeople out there know if there are any kokanee in Carter? It seems that i used to hear of them years ago and if there are any, is snagging allowed?

I caught one last fall while trolling, but haven't caught any when I went fishing for them on purpose. Yes, there are some in there, but I don't know where they go to when the run is on, because there is no place for them to run to. Also, the lake is extremely low right now due to some construction near dam #1, hard to tell what that will do to the kokes behavior.

Yes Carter has koks...and snagging is allowed i believe Oct. 1....However carter is being drained and the waterline is at least a 100' from the end of any boatramp...and the mud is awesome, the lakes edges within 30'-60' is like a giant sponge. Check out Mogul Busters post last Sunday on members fishin reports "Carter lake Fat trout and deep mud".
