Default So... (winter catfish question)

I am thinking of hitting up the south platte below chatfield in littleton. i know there's a healthy population of browns, walleyes and cats in the river. I am thinking of maybe seeing if I could coax the cats and walleyes into biting....

would the cats bite off fresh shad meat? and i know the walleyes will hit leeches... I hope I can get some still...
