Default Weekend plans with pop

Takin my Dad out this weekend for his first ice trip. Plan was to try Wolford, but after hearing the weather report for tomorrow i am starting to re-think that one. Would like to try some place closer to town where should we try.? I just started ice fishin last year and have only been to Wolford, Gross, and Grandby. Want to get my old man out there catching some fish so i can get him "hooked". Anything would help, thanks.......

Where is town? I keep mentioning the same place in a bunch of threads but it is really good for small kokes...Dillon at the Snake River Inlet.

If that is too far, try Boyd for perch action.

I'm sure it's a simple mistake - and the mods will move this over...

Golden Gate is always reliable and not far. I too am in Thornton, and don't know of much our way. I like to get to the hills and get away from the city myself.

Have fun!

Rob

Try Lon Hagler near Loveland. It is sometimes good.

Terry Wickstrom just did a show from Golden Gate a couple weeks ago. He was catching stockers and they were hittimg pretty consistant. He said it was a good spot for those new to ice fishing.
