Default Colorado fishing guide

Is it worth the 5 dollars for the book, or is it just another piece of un-updated DOW documentation...... ?

I'm looking for a book that is updated on what's stocked in CO streams and lakes...

If you are talking about the DOW Fishing Guide I think you can subscribe for 6 issues for $10.50 (CO Outdoors) and you get the Fishing Guide for free. The best thing about CO Outdoors, no ads!!

I might do that.

I emailed DOW asking for a list of waters in the front range/denver metro area that have been recently stocked with saugeye fry (since they are stocking them in smaller impoundments and ponds in pueblo.. id figure i'd ask) and they just told me... "check out the maps we have". what maps? their fishing close to home book is good, but outdated and barely revised with new info. i saw the CO fishing guide and was wondering....

If you go to the DOW office, they'll give you all the information you want, or request..Even all the lakes they stocked over the past year, with what and what numbers of fish they put in..

Dude you might think about registering for a paying account on Fishexplorer.com they have an amazing wealth of information, stocking reports on the bodies of waters, and whatever you could need. But seriously for 5$ (price of a beer at certain bars) is nothing I'd buy the book. Even if you just learn one thing from it, its worth it.

I'm not sure about Denver. I'm down near the Springs..I've always found them to be extremely helpful.
