Default Rescuing Old Salmon Eggs

Is there a way to save old salmon eggs that have dried up some in the jars? I've got some that are getting hard. I was wondering if they would ever "reconstitute" if you put in some water or something? I just got a new jar of another brand that seems to be sitting in water or some other type of liquid.

Try corn oil...I keep mine soaked in it all the time, keeps the flavor and keeps them with moisture. Once they dry out and harden I don't know if they can come back, but try the corn oil thing and see.

this won't bring them back, but before putting them away for the day light a match and drop it in the jar, quickly screw the lid on snug. it uses up the oxygen in the jar and helps keep them fresh. PK
