Default No Cabelas in Colorado for 2008

Cabelas announced today that they are delaying the January 2008 groundbreaking of their new Colorado store on I-70 at Ward Road in Wheat Ridge. They claim that the project will proceed in 2009. If you drive that area, the State of Colorado has already spent 40 million in highway improvements for the Cabelas store. I was looking forward to spending some money there next September. I guess I will have to wait until 2009. Larry

Bummer, I like bps for things, but it's far away, that cabela's would be only like 10 minutes from my house.

I agree. Sure is a drag. Oh well, at least the plans are still on.

The drive to BPS does suck from the southwest part of town.

At least I've got a work excuse to be in that area once in a while...

Clint they have about 10 different catalogs. Each one is for different things, like fly fishing, lure and rod building, saltwater fishing, fresh water fishing, boating/marine. Check out the website you can request a catalog that best suits you.

Hey, there is a bright side: We don't have to pay taxes on Cabela's mail order stuff until they actually open a store here!

Thats too bad, I was really looking forward to going there. Guess I'll have to wait a little bit longer.

FYI, Cabelas funded a majority of those highway interchange improvements. And what money the state did spend will be made back up via tax from the retail sales (and property and probably a couple others types).

And Clint, you probably get more hunting catalogs because you have probably spent more on hunting stuff. They pay very close attention to that stuff! By some seats for your boat and you will soon get a boating catalog.

Me, I get a hard cover Hunting and a hard cover fishing catalog every year with a nice little certificate in each thanking me for my support like it is suppose to make me feel grateful that I spent thousands... OK it does get to to come back for more
