Default Shaky Head Jig Question

I was watching my man Hank Parker today and they were small mouth fishing using a shaky head jig I have never seen before. The head of the jig was attached to the hook in a way that allowed it to rotate or swivel some. I did not catch the brand (Hank was not sponsored by the company yet)

Anybody ever seen or used this? What kind is it? Also, I would like to know what kind of shaky head jigs you guys like- except for you Giggyhead- we know how you roll!

O.K. this is not exactly what ol' Hank was using but it is close. Anyone ever use this?

Have never used it man. Regular jig heads work fine for me.
But I would think that if the line was attached to the jighead that moves that hooksets would be an issue.
Does the line attach to the head or the hook?
Can't tell from the pic

Ok so it is apparent, I use the Giggyhead. Well they are work well and all have good and bad points.

I will be designing a new shakey head that Eagle Claw will be making. I hope to have the design to them in a month or two. I will be taking all the good ideas and putting it into one jig.

Stay tuned.

The shakey head is a great lure for when times are tough and I have always been able to catch fish on it when all else fails. If you have not fished it much, give it a try and have patience while learning how to fish it. It is an excellent lure to have in your arsenal!

I can't tell for sure either but from the show and the description of that one it seems like you tie the line to the eye of the hook and the weight kind of hangs free bellow that. The idea was fewer hang ups and better hooksets.

I caught a bunch of fish on them at Smith Mountain Lake two years ago. I have also caught some smallies on the at Chatfield and Aurora. I use the Spot Remover heads and 4" Yum Houdini worms.
