Default Antero in Serious Trouble

Antero is in serious trouble. The DOW is trying to clear the snow off the ice so that the photosynthetic organisms will able to get enough light to make oxygen. Antero has several springs that release water that is very high in salts into the lake. This heavy saline water is more dense, so it concentrates at the bottom of the lake. So in reality, the fish only have a small middle portion of the water to inhabit. We know that conditions are extremely poor because of all the scuds living on top ,under the ice. These organisms are extremely tolerant of conditions that other organisms cannot live in. They usually inhabit the bottom regions of the lake, so seeing them at the top means that conditions in the rest of the lake are very, very bad. If the DOW plan does not work, we could see a winterkill at Antero. This is the worst case senario, but extremely possible at this point.

Flamethrowers sound good to me. We could also get some 1000 pound propane tanks on the ice and have some target practice.

They need to get a 10 foot auger and throw open about a dozen holes in the ice.

I agree. Or maybe some chain saws and a big crane.

I say cryogenically freeze them so future generations may have the luxury to catch such special fish.
