damn my secret is out. These jigheads are awesome, there are countless ways to fish these. I have tried them and they work great. Shaky head, wacky rig, grub, creature, you name it you can fish it with this head.

As I understand it, the reason for the original 90 bend in the hook, to put the eye at the top of the lead ball, is to encourage the hook to ride with the point down during the retrieve. I am not saying that the hook has to ride point down, but at least you know which way the hook is going to turn, and you can take that into account when you decide how to rig your plastic bait on it.

Is this going to make a difference with the Yamamoto design, when you have no idea which way the hook is going to be presented?

I like Gary Yamamoto's stuff, and buy quite a lot of it. Just wondering what this jig head is going to do in the water.

Tried to modify or even delete my original post and couldn't do it.
