Default pueblo conditions report 2/8

the level of water just keeps gitting better, last week it was 4871.37 this week it is 4872.66, an increase of 1.29 feet. at this rate ship rock will be under water by the end of the month. for those of you who launch at the south marina, you will now have to park in the parking lot, there is no more beach parking and by mid march the water will be almost to the top of the concrete part of the ramp. there is still a lot of ice floating as well as some very large logs. the good news for the fishermen is there is no place for the jetskiers to set up their camps on the beach except the south end of the dam, so the north end of the dam and sailboard will be better for walleyes than it has been in years. i think that turkey creek will be very good this year and the whole west end will have a ton of fish, so save up your gas money for the long run this year but it will be worth it. all of the brush on boggs flat is flooding now so when the wipers come to the deep water they will be feeding in that brush. i think that this would be a good time to take out stock in the fishing lure co's. the west end will be a nightmare, with all of the flooded brush up at the swallows end, some of it is 10 feet or more tall. the fish will be there but gitting them out of the brush will be the challange. i think the answer is 80lb braid and a 20lb leader. till next week may you all have tight lines

Just throw a spinnerbait. It is damn near impossible to get one snagged.

I just told my friend at work about this, who has a nice bass boat....

As soon as it warms up considerably, I will be there and I will fish that lake. that deep cliff by the boat ramp area is going to be SICK fishing, especially for the cats.
