It seems to me, owing some one something that is not necessarily a tangible substance is pretty silly.....if you do not have the water to give what the hell can you do? Money seems to be the only other option. I suppose you could tell Kansas to go "Pound dirt" because after its all said and done that is all they will be left with anyway. I guess at this point the most important issue out there would be securing water for the hatchery at Wray.

Didn't really mean to imply that there was any real answer to the problem! It is just a shame we will lose the lake! It was one of my favorites

It's a shame. Water law trumps life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Way, way, way, way back in the day Bonny was the premier warm water fishery in the state.

Wow, The Wray hatchery seems like they would take the biggest hit with this. I had no idea that they were responsible foe 40% of our warm water fish. That would SUCK!!

The way I understand it . After Bonny is drained we will still keep accumulating more water debt even though there is no water flowing in the system. Is that correct? If so that really sucks and how in heck do they expect colorado to deliver water we don't have?

This a very sad story! Bonny, oh Bonny; how many great days I spent on your waters! The very best crappie fishing in Colorado.
