Default Best knot for braid to hook? PowerPro to Hook eye..

Well one of my big trips for the year is less than a week away. Trying 50lb PowerPro for throwing frogs and stuff into nasty water. I have no idea what knot to use, any help would be great. Having visions of setting the hook and saying bye bye to my spro frog,. thanks

double polymor, in knot wars using that knot, it was the best for braid, with the line breaking before the knot!

I use the Palomar knot with braid. Here is a link that shows you how to tie it http://tinyurl.com/pe9wm

next time just go through the eyelid twice, before the overhand, it will hold much better, the single still has a chance of slipping!

Thanks for the tip I'll give that a try.

For your frog fishing I would recommend that you bump your braid up to 65lb.

Palomar
Double Clinch
Canoe Knot

All three seem to work well with braid

Uni knots work just fine with braid for me. I have not broke on a fish in a very long time.
If you break on a snag with a uni knot, chances are you would prolly break with any other knot too....

Uni knot is easy to tie and incredibly strong!

I learned the palomar just for braided line. Get the line wet and it's pretty simple to tie. I use the Uni splice for attaching tippet to the braid and that knot works great.
