Default Caution Ft. Collins anglers

Just returned from fishing Dixon over my lunch break and found that my truck had been broken into and my pack containing all of my fly fishing accesories, (reel, flies, etc. etc., and my fishing license had been stolen. MY BAD FOR NOT LOCKING THE TRUCK! A hard and expensive lesson learned. If you fish up in this area beware, and keep your vehicles locked and your equipment with you or in a safe place. Very strange, I had a couple pairs of sunglasses, a GPS unit, cycling stuff and even my road bike in the back of the truck and none of it was taken, only the fishing gear. Not a good day.

I've heard rumors of the same thing happening to folks at Boyd Lake....even people getting their windows smashed in to get to the gear.

Not good.

Seems like this kind of stuff has been going on lately, based on reports that I have read over the last few months.

Sounds like someone needs to set up some sort of a "sting" in that area and try to catch the jackhole that's doing this! Sorry for your loss. Too bad we don't adopt some Middle Eastern philosophy like if you're caught stealing, you loose a hand. That'd make people think twice before committing acts like this!

Nah, we'd just have a bunch of no armed people.

Just finished talking with a Larimer County Sheriff up in the area and he informed me that my vehicle was'nt the only one broken into this afternoon, there was another car broken into up on one of the dams on Horsetooth. Nascar, I agree with your Sting operation, in fact right now I'd be more than happy to run into the X&*#* that infringed on my property. I'd get it back and then some!
Once again folks lock your cars and hide your valuables.
