Jaylen-

I am by no means an expert, but I've been doing lots of research on a new one for my boat. The Lowrance X96 seems to get great reviews form everyone, and $200 isn't a bad price.

I have a hummingbird 565 and love it, doesn't have gps or fancy stuff, but it works and has a light for night fishing.

You can never go wrong with Lowrance IMHO.

i have a humminbird 947C at the console, and an Eagle (which is a lowrance) up front.

They are all really good man. my eagle is probably a 150 bucks for a comparable model today, and my humminbird is (hu hum) about $1600. If you buy anything that is $150 or over, you are going to be fine. There are some real cheapos out there, so i can only relate functionality to price. I would say spend $150 or more, stay with Humminbird, Lowrance or Eagle (which is a Lowrance anyway). Any other brands, just keep walking.

I've been thinking about selling my kicker motor and my troll master and buying a new finder. Thanks for the link Andy
