Default Solunar tables -- useful or BS?

Ran into this today
http://www.in-fisherman.com/referenc...ars/index.html

I've always been curious if these tables really to help or not. Anyone here ever tried or use them?

Tough call. It'd make for an interesting study. The back of this month's BASSMASTER shows a guy that caught several bass over 13 pounds this year, and he only fished in certain moon phases.

I've tried fishing the days in these tables and in the Farmer's Almanac. I didn't keep any data, but my gut tells me that I had mixed results. Didn't seem to be any real correlation.

i kept a log, years ago, when i was in Ca and i couldnt correlate best fishing days with the tables. some guys live by them. i think the more time on the water and not in the same place, the better chance at a catch. no bites=move and find'em. jmho.

i havn't found them to be much help on warm water fish but when i was doing a lot of cold water fishing they seemed to be somewhat close to right. but to my way of thinking the baromitor (sp) is better to go by

What walleye seeker said about warm water fish...I look at them every week in the Post when they publish them on Wednesdays...and pay attention to see if it picks up during those times...it sure doesnt seem to make it any better or worse for warm water fishing...if they were biting they continue to bite...and if they werent they dont...

I go fishing whenever my wife says I can....Or whenever I can slip away...Weather...Moon phases..barometer.. Wind speed, direction...I don't really care...

Doesn't mean I catch any fish when the winds from the east..

Only wish I had the luxury of fishing so much things like this could be factored in...I just go when I can. If Tarponjim says it's hogwash...well I will buy his opinion...

I've never done any better when I fish when the solunar tables say there's "awesome" fishing...so I don't think it does a whole lot of good.
