Default Braid

Personally, I prefer to use Spiderwire Stealth over monofilament.
I just wanted to see what other people think!!!

Power Pro. And I tie straight to the lure.... Superior casting, strength, no memory and great knots.
Its all personal preference though. Ultimately its whatever works for you and your comfortable with, thats all that matters.

Both. Depending on how I am fishing. They both have their place and for good reason.

Braid is great for certain applications.................I prefer mono for "light line" tactics and smaller targeted fish. Braid for most catfishing, trolling, heavy cover, big game.........etc.

Braid with a mono or flouro leader is the best of both worlds in clear water.

I use power pro for crankbaits and jerkbaits. I always use a fluoro leader.
For topwaters, braids suck. I also prefer mono for plastics and bait as well.
Braid has a place, and that is for cranks and jerks. Mono does better for everything else.

Fishing the sticks...Slabbing in snags...I guess it has it's place...You'll lose less hardware for sure...As far as for cats or large fish...It's not an issue...You just need a good drag and four or six pound mono works fine...Can't stand running a leader on braid..Don't really see the point..
