Default Wellington Lake / Jenny Lake

Had a chance to go to Wellington Lake this Sat. The weather was great, had cooler full of beer but no fish. Im really starting to wonder if they stock that lake. Ive been there 2 and nothing. Not even nibbles on line. Then went up to Jenny Lake. It was pretty cold but it was well worth it. Caught around 5 Rainbow trout. I was very excited as Im pretty new to fishing and this is the most I have ever caught.

To much wiri wiri here are some pics.

Jenny Lake

First catch of the day... pretty happy.

You know I was expecting to see way more people at Wellington since it was such a nice day. But I guess people already know there is no fish in there.

Wellington near Bailey? I think people have gone there less this year because of the significant increase in fees, I know that stopped me from even considering it during the summer.

People dont want to plunk down 14 bux a head when they could go somplace just as close with better chances and numbers.

They DO stock that lake quite often actually. Its privately owned so your $14 skunk will help your chances the next time

Wow! Its up to $14? Thought it was $11. Guess I won't be headed there for suckers this year.

I was using power bait first, then moved to worms and finished off with flies. Nothing!!!! I paid $11 bucks for the day. I should have just gone to Jenny Lake on Sat. I did get to relax and enjoy the day though.
