Default 11mile res to 11mile canyon road?

Is there an easy way to get into 11mile canyon from the reservoir?

Thanks.

From the south side (near witchers) of the lake I know you can reach the canyon by going east on that road, but your best bet is definitely thru Lake George. Never been into the canyon but I recall signs that led to it on that back road before.

Hmm ok, wagon tongue is 98? Thanks.

Hmmm, ok, I'm not too up for 4x4ing so I'll avoid that route, LoL.

You don't need a 4x4 on FR 393! Back in the late 70's I took a 65 Chevy Biscayne on it. I only bottomed out like 6 times and didn't hurt anything. Sometimes I thought that car was a 4x4 truck!

I've taken a RAV4 (all wheel drive) on that road (Wagon T.) and it handles it with ease. This is not a hard-core 4x4 by any means - more of an AWD car with a bit more clearance.

BTW, the CO Gazeteer numbered road markers and the on-trail signs don't match at all - it marks CR 393 as FR 244. While both might be "correct" it can be pretty confusing and potentially disorienting if you don't know where you're really heading. Fun if you're up for exploring, however...
