Default split ring tip

we all know it's a real pain getting a split ring to open using our thumb nail so I figured I'd share my little tip for you all to make it much much easier. Take another hook and stick it into the split ring where you'd usually put your thumb nail and the bard will open the ring for you with ease. I have found that a jig head works the best since it has something to hold onto. Don't push the hook too far in though, keep the bard out and it'll work with ease. I like to change my hooks out on occasion and found that this saves me lots of time and keeps my thumbnail looking pretty

The only way to go! Only a few bucks. No hook points into the fingers either!
