Default Williams Fork Res. for Pike - Where?

Hi Gang,

Gotta get away from South Park fishing so my buddy and I decided to head to Wiliams Fork this weekend. We've never fished Williams Fork Reservoir before and want to get into some pike (saw some great pike reports from WF a while back). Any suggestions for decent areas to try? I'm not looking for honey holes, just decent areas that are worth trying.

Appreciate it

On any pike water, start out by looking for big flats with creek channels through them. The pike love the ability to cruise in the shallows and quickly return to the depths. Focus your casts on those creek channel edges. Also main lake points, if rocky, even better. Look for these especially when the wind is blowing into them. This time of year the fish should be around 6'-12' of water.

Bays near weedgrowth and pretty much any bays that have big shallow flats that are near deep water.

WORK all the coves, but dont overlook the inlet, it holds many big fish, the first big flat to the west of the inlet, bring your waders, throw big lures, u might not catch many, but u might catch the next state reord!

Keep in mind that you cant fish past the bouy line near the inlet until Nov 31st. I fished about a half mile west of the line the other day and managed one pike on a tube. Good luck
