Default No recent Cheeseman reports?

Is it closed? Is it overfished? I did a search and last report was from 10/31/08.

I was up there on the 4rth helping the DOW in the Canyon, we drove threw the caretaker's area... the water level was very low and it was pretty windy out there. Thats about all I can help you with on conditions.

I was up there last weekend ... saw some guys with a bunch of way too colored kokes (looked brown), hangin from a log, 2 of em carrying em. Later on some lady was barking "we got 23.. we got 23 .. snagging" her friend fishin by me could care less about snaggin i assume, he gave her some crap about "that isnt fishing" .... "im using lures"

I just got lil nibbles on bass plastics, finesse style .. no good hits at all on that

I fished for pike mainly .. had a good pike style chomp on a xrap, didnt hook it though .. only real hit for my day .. was like a fierce slap slap .. gone

weather was nice at least ... beats being in town

Kokanees are one of the most poached fish in Colorado. Some of the guys fill a dozen coolers a day up at Blue Mesa.

I was up there a week ago monday. It was very slow. Caught a few kokes. One was still silver but was definately a spawner. There were snaggers at the inlet, but they were not having anywhere near the success they were a couple weeks prior. I had a few other hits, but didn't catch a thing. Some bass and some trout.

The place was absolutely trashed! I didn't have issues with snaggers until then. It was disgusting! Wads of 20 lb test everywhere. Beer cans and bottles. About 40 fish guts & heads in the water. Close to 60 fileted fish remains in the trickle of water by the bridge! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!! Here's a novel concept......If you can't be man enough to carry your catch out KEEP LESS FISH! I know officially HATE salmon snagging season due to the impact these jerks had on the lake!
Thanks for letting me rant!
